appmenu-gtk3 software package provides Export GTK menus over DBus, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install appmenu-gtk3
appmenu-gtk3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the appmenu-gtk3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep appmenu-gtk3 *
You will get with appmenu-gtk3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
